Professor Meredith Lawley worked for market research companies prior to becoming an academic in the late 1980s. She has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate level using a variety of modes and is actively supervising several higher degree research students at the University of the Sunshine Coast. 

Currently, Meredith is an Associate Professor (Marketing) within the Faculty of Arts and Business at University of the Sunshine Coast, with her main teaching responsibilities being in research methods and marketing management at postgraduate level.  Up until 2009, her key research interests were in services marketing, particularly the marketing of international education.  Meredith is now Theme Leader for Consumer Insights within the Sellfish section of the Australian Seafood CRC.  In addition in her role as Theme Leader she has input and gives advice on a range of CRC research projects involving consumer research.

Meredith's research areas are consumer behaviour, international education, e-business/e-marketing and services marketing.
