Then Andy Pawley briefly recites something in English, possibly as an audio test. At 52s the singing begins. There is some commentary at 40m30s the date 7 October is given. Discussion of the singsing in Tok Pisin at 45m37s. At 58m12s, the name of the 12 year old singer is given. At the beginning of track B (Andy Pawley or Ralph Bulmer) explains that the woman's song begun at the end of side A stopped a third of the way through because the tape has run out. The song is sung again again on this track after some discussion..
