The Ailsa Macvey Swan Guide to Records documents and contextualises the records of Ailsa Macvey Swan, an active conservationist in State of Victoria. The records are grouped into four series, covering Swan's career in chemistry, bird observations, and her conservation endeavours in many areas in Victoria, in particular Western Port. The guide describes 178 inventory items (mostly paper files). The total collection occupies 211 linear cm of shelf space (or its equivalent). The Guide is the output of a research database. It was first published online by Australian Science and Technology Heritage Centre in July 2004. The records were transferred to the Australian Science Archives Project in 1998 and the documentation of the collection began in January 2004. The records were later transferred to the State Library of Victoria (MS 13488). The collection was listed by Ailie Smith.Data time period: 1998
