Full description

Following a review the Water Supply and Wastewater Engineering Branches were combined by 30 July 1989 to form the Water and Sewerage Branch. (1) The new branch was part of the Engineering Division. (2)

In November 1991 the State Government granted Public Works a charter which led to a major internal organisational restructure. The charter included 'managing the Country Towns Water Supply and Sewerage Program. The Water and Sewerage Branch continued to exist but became part of the Government Programs Division. (3)
