The New South Wales Office for Trade Development and the NSW Government Trade Development Board appears to have been established in 1987, to replace the Overseas Trade Authority. The Office was under the administration of the Minister for Industry and Small Business. (1)The main functions of the Office were to “plan and implement activities in support of the Government’s strategy to stimulate and encourage NSW industry to improve its export performance, and to service the NSW Government Trade Development Board.” (2)
In 1988, the New South Wales Office for Trade Development was abolished, and its functions were transferred to the Office for Trade Development, under the administration of the Minister for State Development. (3)
