Black Camp Provisional School in the county of Gloucester was established in March 1937. A provisional school was one conducted in an area with a small school population. The Department of Education provided the teacher, teaching materials and books and the parents supplied the building. The School was re-named Cambra Provisional School in June 1947. The School was closed in October 1948. A School was re-established in the Cambra in January, 1954. Reference:
