Research Project
Full description This research repository was designed to support research about global resource frontiers. The term 'resource frontier' refers to geographies at the forefront of extraction and exploitation. Resources are taken to include minerals, waterways, forestry and other natural asset classes. The compilation of datasets is sourced from peer-reviewed journals and reputable international organizations. Our target audience are researchers, students, and professionals who are seeking to engage the complexities of resource-rich regions. The team involves researchers from Australia (University of Queensland), Indonesia (Monash University), and Malaysia (University of Nottingham) and has received financial support from the Ford Foundation and Google.
