This dataset is the result of a quantitative and qualitative meta-analysis of higher education research published in 18 top-tier journals between 1991-2011. One hundred and thirty-one published papers met the conditions of: peer-reviewed journal articles; research participants are students of higher education; empirical research; articulate a goal of collecting evidence of learning or seeking to confirm that students are learning; learning outcomes as dependent variable. The data is in spreadsheet, SPSS and NVIVO format.
