These records show views of the interiors and exteriors of buildings; plant including turbines and transmission lines; sites; construction, demolition and de-commissioning; potential heritage items and historic sites; buildings on adjacent lands; collieries; substations; and archaeological projects on the sites and lands owned by Pacific Power. The purpose of the series appears to be to document activities of power stations and the identification of facilities, properties and other infrastructure of the Pacific Power. The photographs were originally arranged in albums or retained in bundles according to the date taken. Most photographs are dated but few are identified in detail, therefore many locations, pieces of plant or equipment cannot be identified unless the user has detailed knowledge of the sites and power station operation. The photographs differ in size. The majority are colour. The remainder are either black and white prints or negatives. This series formed part of the 'Pacific Power Heritage Collection'. The series in this collection were valued because they documented vital aspects of the history of power generation, supply and transmission in New South Wales.
