Full description
The Yaruman Cultural Heritage Signs were developed as part of the Ringer Soak Information Bay Signage Development Project, a community-led initiative to preserve and celebrate Jaru language and culture. These bilingual Jaru–English interpretive signs showcase historical, cultural, and linguistic knowledge, featuring a Dreaming story, maps, photographs, and artworks by local artists. The signage is installed at the entrance of Yaruman (Ringer Soak) in the Kimberley, WA. The project was led by the GMAAAC Committee in collaboration with Josua Dahmen, guided by Elders and community members. A high-resolution digital copy of the signs is archived with the Central Land Council.
