Brief description

The MicroXCT-400 is part of the Multiscale Nanotomography system housed at the University of South Australia's Ian Wark Research Institute and part of the SA Node of the Australian National Fabrication Facility. This system can provide 'inside information' about materials, devices, and tools without the need to section sample or perform destructive analyis. The MicroXCT collection consists of the digital data files produced by each experiment run by this tomography instrument. These files include both raw and processed data and can be 3D images of many samples, including biological networks, porous geological cores for petroleum industry, semiconductor packages, and parts in the injection moulding industry.
