Brief description

In 2017, the Northern Tablelands office of the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) commissioned Eco Logical Australia (ELA) to conduct a comprehensive vegetation survey of the National Park.

Vegetation across the study area was mapped using high resolution ADS40 aerial imagery via a 2D computer screen interface. A total of 66 polygons were captured collectively representing seven vegetation communities. Five of these communities were reasonable matches for existing Plant Community Types (PCTs) as described by OEH, while two other “communities” were small areas of derived grassland and rocky heath for which there are currently no suitable PCT matches.
