Full description
A model to numerically simulate waves, currents, sediment transport and particle dispersion in a shallow complex reef environment over time and space scales was created that is validated using data collected during the April/May 2006 field program (WAMSI Node 3.1.6) - Sandy Bay area of Ningaloo Reef.Lineage
Maintenance and Update Frequency: unknown
Statement: An extensive field experiment was conducted at Sandy Bay from April 10 to May 30, 2006. A large array of instruments including 12 Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs), 9 single point current meters, and a series of wave and tide gauges, were deployed in the channel, along the reef crest north and south of the channel, within the lagoon and offshore.
