Brief description
This project will engage skilled contractors to complement community activity in baiting, trapping and shooting of feral cats, rabbits and Western Grey Kangaroos to protect eight species of mammals and birds that have been re-introduced to Wadderin Wildlife Reserve. These include the Woylie (Bettongia penicillata), Red-tailed Phascogale (Phascogale calura), Banded Hare-wallaby (Lagostropus fasciatus), Western Brush Wallaby (Macropus irma), Malleefowl (Leipoa ocellata) and Bush Stone-curlew (Burhinus grallarius). The predator-proof fence of the enclosure will be maintained and success in reducing feral animal numbers will be monitored and evaluated.User Contributed Tags
