Full description

The first volume of the Minister's Orders are contained in the final volume of VPRS 894 Minute Books. The Orders are to do with such matters as appointments of and granting of leave to teachers, the establishment of new schools, the granting of school holidays, grants for schools, approvals of expenditure and public complaints to the Minister.

Reference numbers in the margin are to correspondence, to Board of Advice numbers, to school numbers or to branches within the Education Department (such as Accounts) which were responsible for the matter which was the subject of the Order. Reference numbers following the Order are to the registered number of correspondence to which the Order related with the date of the Order. Recognition is given each time there was a change of Minister of Public Instruction.
