Full description

This series was used to index letter press copies of outward letters from the Examining Branch that were bound in VPRS 7360.  This index was used to identify all letters in VPRS by outward letter number up to outward letter 80/1232. The index identifies letters only by the outward letter number and the name of the individual receiving the letter or, in rare instances, the name of an agency or a broad descriptor. 

It appears that creation of the index was discontinued during 1880. Indexes within each volume of VPRS 7360 were used thereafter. .
