This series consists of a number of different series or lists relating to the administration of lands in Victoria for the range of years from 1841 to 1852. Contentss are:Correspondence
1. 1841 - 1847 Copies of outwards correspondence forwarded from the Land Office Melbourne. These letters are to do with land sales including tenders made after auctions for land unsold; correspondence regarding Special Surveys.
2. 1841 - 1847 Copies of inwards correspondence to the Superintendent Port Phillip, the Surveyor-in-Charge and the Land Board regarding land sales and the regulations and procedures for the conduct of these.
Reserves
1850 - 1851 A list of Crown reserves in the Port Phillip District and those areas recommended to be reserved. Details given are the line of the road where the reserve was located, the locality, the quantity of land proposed, the purpose of the reserve, the name of the lessee or run upon which the proposed reserve was located and by whom it had been reported upon.
Returns of Townships
1851 Lists the proclaimed townships with their county or district and details of the numbers of allotments sold in each one.
Licensees Applications to Purchase
1851 This lists names of applicants, details of survey, the name of the run and of the Commissioner for Crown land's District, the quantity of land and the report and description of the surveyor.
Land to be Withdrawn from Sale
1851 this listing gives the number of the lot, the day of the sale, the location (County, parish, allotment and/or section), the area of the land, the names of applicants and any remarks.
Purchase of 28,000 Acres by Mr W T T Clarke in the Settled District of Bourke.
This listing gives the name of the occupier, the area of land, the number of stock (horses, cattle or sheep) the number of persons on the station, the number of homesteads or outstations with remarks respecting the improvements to be paid for.
