This series was created to record hours worked by individuals on the Council's sustenance scheme and to determine payments made under the scheme.

Information recorded includes:

- name of individual
- a unit number, which appears to be the number of people in that person's family
- hours worked in the fortnight
- pay rate
- name of foreman, and
- the number of hours worked in each day of that fortnight.

The names of approved inspectors who audited the books are also included.
