This series contains outwards registered correspondence which, at the start of the volume, is headed "Letters connected with the Council Papers Branch entered in the Letter Book of the Deeds Branch". It may be that correspondence concerns both the business of the Council Papers Branch and the Deeds Branch. The Council refers to the Legislative Council of the Colony of Victoria. Other correspondence relating to electoral matters may be found in VPRS 3219 Outward Registered Correspondence Unit 17.
