This series consists of receipt books, with only the completed butts remaining. which document the payment of fees for carrier's licenses (1887 - 1946), stage carriage licenses (1886 - 1946), sub agent licenses (1931 - 1945), gravel licenses (1887 - 1924) and tobacco licenses (1887 - 1924) issued by the Licensing Court. The licenses were completed by the Court and given to the intended recipient.

The license butts record the name of the individual to whom the license was issued, the period of license applicability and the amount paid.
