Full description

This series consists of two volumes bound with red and green cardboard marked,
"Record of contracts, Book No. 5 and Book No. 6". This contains information relating to the commencement, progress and completion of contracts entered into by the railways with private contractors for the supply of construction equipment ranging from fence posts to nuts and bolts.

Information on each contract includes a weekly progress report, name of contractor, date of tender, total payment involved in contract, progress payments and date contract completed.
Each volume has an index at the front detailing:
Contract number,
Name of contractor,
Particulars (type of contract),
Page No.
