This series consists of child minding centre files arranged by the locality of the centres. Registration numbers do appear on the files but these are not used to control the files. The files contain the following information: applications from private persons wishing to establish a child mining centre; plans of the proposed child minding centre; correspondence relative to the proposed child minding centre and inspector's reports and recommendations concerning the applications. All files relate to chid mining centres which have been closed.
