VPRS 3681 File Registration Cards

Full description

The records in this series are the file registration cards for the records held in VPRS 10256 Correspondence Files of VA 4155 Latrobe Valley Development Advisory Committee. Cards give the names and numbers allocated to each file in the series. Reference is also given in red to where files, which might be found in that major category but are not, may be found with their file number.

When a piece of correspondence was registered (see VPRS 12155 Register of Inward Correspondence), VPRS 3681 File Registration Cards was consulted. These gave the authorised subject classifications and the corresponding file numbers for the file upon which the correspondence was placed. Entries in the final column of the registers gave that file number. Correspondence Files are in custody as VPRS 10256 Correspondence Files.
