This series consists of the Outward Letter Books of the Committee of Management of Wilsons Promontory National Park. These are letter press copies signed most usually by Mr James Kershaw the Secretary of the Committee until his death in 1946.

Correspondence deals with all of the responsibilities of the Committee of Management. Matters dealt with include the development and enforcement of regulations, the appointment of rangers and communication with them, schemes for the population of the park by fauna, matters relating to park access for the public and the issuing of permits, financial matters and the problems of vermin prevention and eradication.
