Full description

This series consists of correspondence files of the Central Registry Branch of the Office of the Chief Commissioner of Police (VA 724). Correspondence relates to the general administrative activities of the Victorian Police Force. This series appears to be the successor correspondence system to VPRS 807 Inward Correspondence Files.
It would appear the first consignment of VPRS 2400 (i.e. P000) was missing 324 boxes when initially transferred to PROV. The P1 consignment of 324 boxes appears to fill this gap.
