VPRS 21817 Register of Victorian Dairy Industry Authority Correspondence Files - Computer Printouts

This series consists of six computer printouts of the registry database for the Victorian Dairy Industry Association’s correspondence files.

The printouts show a number of different listings of correspondence files.

The first is a listing of major subject titles sorted numerically by the major title number, and consists of 311 major titles. This was printed on 19 October 1999.

The second is a listing of correspondence files organised by the multiple number system which has four elements: major subject title number; minor subject title number; year file created; part number of file. Each entry includes the major and minor file titles for each file, a location number (which corresponds to the box number they are contained within), a date (possibly indicating when the file was closed, and the file status (all entries seem to have the status: closed). This is the most useful listing for the purposes of identifying a file in the correspondence series (VPRS 7632/P1) that is of interest and which particular box they are contained within. This printout dates from 28 October 1999.

The third and fourth printout are listings of correspondence file titles sorted alphabetically by the minor title. These printouts date from 28 October 1999 and 28 September 2000 respectively

The fifth printout is a listing of the minor subject titles sorted numerically by the minor title number. This printout dates from 28 September 2000.

The final printout is similar to the first, a listing of major subject titles sorted numerically by the major title number. This printout dates from 28 September 2000.
