Full description

This series consists of registers of plans created by the Marine Board of Victoria (VA 1424). The Marine Board had responsibility for ensuring the safety of ships in Victoria. 

The registers contain basic information relating to the construction of marine vessels. Each entry includes:
  • the plan number
  • date received
  • length of the vessel
  • name and address of the designer, builder, and owner
  • construction material.

As of 2025, it is unknown if the plans referred to in the registers were retained by the Marine Board, and if they are still extant. 

Data time period: [1967 TO 1999]
