This series consists of photographs and glass slide negatives depicting locations and infrastructure relevant to electrolysis mitigation in Victoria.Electrolysis is the effect of stray electrical currents that cause corrosion to buried metal structures.
The photos show Yallourn, Morwell and West Kiewa power stations, the State Electricity Commission Victoria electrical laboratory in Yarraville, and other locations where electrolysis monitoring had occurred.
The records date from the early days of electrolysis mitigation in Victoria in the 1930s through to 1969.
