Full description
This series was created following the passing of the Environment Protection Act 1970. Under the act, decisions made by the Board of the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) could be appealed to the Supreme Court.Only two cases were registered using this system. Applications under the Environmental Protection Act and subsequent acts were then heard on the court’s Miscellaneous or Civil Case lists (see VPRS 267 and VPRS 12024). From 1984, appeals were heard in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, then from c. 1998 the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VA 4146, see VPRS 16197).
