Included are documents acquired from the State Electricity Commission of Victoria (VA 1002) during privatisation. Topics covered include, but are not limited to asbestos, air policies, land conservation, Loy Yang water supply, news cuttings, occupational health matters and overseas travel reports. This record series was created during January 1994 - February 1999 at the Hazelwood Power Station when a team was given the task of locating and recording files on site relating to the Hazelwood Power Station and registering them using a new recordkeeping system. Until that time, such files had not been stored in a centralised manner. Included in these files are documents dating back to 1956. A majority of the records from this recordkeeping system were appraised as temporary and retained at ENGIE. Prior to transfer to PROV the records were held by ENGIE Hazelwood, the majority owner of the power station at the time of its closure in 2017. Since privatisation, Hazelwood Power has gone through many iterations, eventually becoming ENGIE Hazelwood in 2015.&rft.creator=ENGIE Hazelwood (previously Hazelwood Corporation Pty Ltd 1995 – 1996; Hazelwood Power 1996 – 2003; International Power Hazelwood 2003 – 2012; GDF SUEZ Hazelwood 2012 – 2015) &rft.date=2024&rft.coverage=141.000000,-34.000000 142.919336,-34.145604 144.582129,-35.659230 147.742627,-35.873175 150.024219,-37.529041 150.200000,-39.200000 141.000000,-39.200000 141.000000,-34.000000 141.000000,-34.000000&rft_subject=HISTORICAL STUDIES&rft_subject=HISTORY AND ARCHAEOLOGY&rft.type=dataset&rft.language=English Access the data
