This series comprises a collection of diaries and notebooks of the Chief Investigator and other investigators and officers of the Office of the Special Investigator (VA 5326). 

Each person kept a diary to record their daily activities in conduct of investigations, including brief descriptions of the particulars of duties. Notebooks were kept to record notes of meetings, interviews and other activities. This included notes on investigation strategy and activities, and notes from meetings such as the Investigations Committee meetings.
