This series comprises registers recording details of Life Governors of The Royal Melbourne Hospital (VA 1048).

Information recorded in the registers include the date of the Life Governor’s election, name, and whether they were a Life Governor or Life Subscriber. The status of whether a Governor was alive or deceased was also recorded in some entries, with “dead” being written next to their name if the person was deceased.

Prior to transfer to Public Record Office Victoria, the records in this series were maintained as part of the Royal Melbourne Hospital Archives.
