Full description

This series was created to facilitate access to drilling and bore records maintained by the Geological Survey of Victoria (VA 4118). This includes VPRS 19325 Drilling Rig Activity Records and VPRS 19326 Drilling Unit Weekly Reports that were created by regional offices to register the activities of different drills at various boring sites throughout Victoria. 

Boreholes (otherwise known as drill or well holes) are narrow shafts drilled into the ground for various purposes, including geotechnical investigation, mineral exploration, environmental assessment, temperature measurement, or the extraction of water, petroleum, or gases.
