This series comprises Clinical Strategic and Business Plans for the Melbourne Extended Care and Rehabilitation Service (MECRS) (VA 5265), as well as plans relating to it's governing body North Western Health Care Network (VA 5262), previously known as the North West Hospital.

Included in this series are records related to the planning and development of services, programs, service delivery and research for sub-acute clinical services. These sub-acute clinical services included ambulatory, aged care and rehabilitation services. The records relate both to the North West Hospital and also across the multiple campuses of the Western Health Care Network’s facilities in western and north-western Melbourne.
