VPRS 18837 Honorary Medical Officer's Reports to the Committee of Management

This series contains volumes of weekly reports of the Honorary Medical Officer of the Bendigo Benevolent Asylum and Lying-in Hospital (VA 1275), submitted to the hospital’s Committee of Management for consideration at their weekly meetings. These reports covered matters relative to the responsibilities of the Honorary Medical Officer and included medical aid to patients, admission and discharge of patients and supervision of subordinate officers in the hospital. The fact that a report was submitted to the Committee of Management is noted in the minutes of the weekly meetings of the Committee of Management (VPRS 18859).

Records in custody cover 1885 - 1892, however whether there were records created outside of this date range is subject to further research.
