VPRS 18836 Resident Surgeon and Medical Superintendent's Monthly Report to the Committee of Management

This series comprises a volume of reports of the Resident Surgeon (later titled Medical Superintendent) of the Bendigo and District Northern Base Hospital (VA 1264), submitted to the hospital’s Committee of Management for consideration at their monthly meetings. These reports covered matters relative to the responsibilities of the Resident Surgeon and included surgical and medical aid to patients, admission and discharge of patients, and supervision of subordinate officers in the hospital. The fact that a report was submitted to the Committee of Management is noted in the minutes of the weekly meetings of the Committee of Management (VPRS 18858).

Records in custody cover 1914 - 1955, however whether there were reports outside of this date range is subject to further research.
