They were then counter-signed by the Chairman of the General Committee. This practice ceased in November 1954. It was from that time that the minutes were confirmed solely by the Chairman of the General Committee. From 1972, confirmation of the minutes was again assumed by the Chairman, Building Committee. Full description

This series comprises minutes of the Building Committee of the Queen Victoria Medical Centre (VA 1254).

The minutes of the General Committee (VPRS 18812) state that the Building Committee was first appointed in August 1897. However, the earliest extant minutes of the Building Committee date from 1947. 

Meeting minutes were confirmed by the Chairman of the Building Committee. They were then counter-signed by the Chairman of the General Committee. This practice ceased in November 1954. It was from that time that the minutes were confirmed solely by the Chairman of the General Committee. From 1972, confirmation of the minutes was again assumed by the Chairman, Building Committee.
