Full description

This series consists of minutes of the Staffing Committee of the Preston Institute of Technology (VA 1212). The Staffing Committee reported to the Council of the Preston Institute of Technology.

The membership of Staffing Committee changed over time but typically consisted of a number of Council members, the Principal of the Institute, and one non-academic staff member. The Committee was responsible for:

- staffing policies
- staff appointments
- study leave
- terminations
- re-organisations
- reclassifications, and
- promotions.

The committee was reorganised and renamed the Academic & Administrative Affairs Committee on 19 April 1979.
