Full description

This series comprises of survey records detailing tunneling activities and the output of some mines in Victoria. The volumes are titled State Coal Mine Assays, McBride East Area Tunnels, Kirrack Area Tunnels and the West Area Little Tunnel.

Survey records were kept at the mine survey office to note surface surveys, surface levelling, underground control surveys, underground check surveys, surface check surveys, underground levelling and calculations.

Within this series there are records such as a register of contracts, coordinate book, pattern book and plan book containing information related to multiple mine sites in Victoria.

Subject to further research, there may be a relationship to VPRS 12984 Technical Drawings and Survey Plans.
