This record series consists of minutes, agendas, meeting papers, reports, and correspondence of the Amalgamation Planning Committee, a joint committee between the State College of Victoria at Coburg (VA 5188) and the Preston Institute of Technology (VA 1212). The two institutions had agreed to amalgamate, and the Committee was established to progress their amalgamation towards what would become the Phillip Institute of Technology.
