This series consists of volumes which provide summary information relating to staff employed at Beechworth Asylum, Beechworth Hospital for the Insane, Beechworth Mental Hospital and Mayday Hills Mental Hospital and Psychiatric Hospital (VA 2842).

Each volume has an alphabetical index at the beginning which lists employees' names and provides a reference number to the page in the register at which an entry for that person can be found. Many names have multiple page references recorded.
