Full description

This series consists of indexes that facilitate access to VPRS 7395 Case Books of Male Patients, VPRS 7396 Case Books of Female Patients and VPRS 18103 Patient Clinical Case Notes. This is subject to further research.

This Index consists of a separate page for each letter of the alphabet (A-Z). There are separate indexes for male and female patients. Patients have been entered into the Index by their surname. Entries within each letter (A-Z) are listed chronologically by date of admission, though an admission date is not listed.

For references to entries in the Case Books (1867 - 1912) (VPRS 7395 and VPRS 7396), the following information is recorded:

- Death or Discharge Date

For references to Patient Clinical Case Notes (1913-1954), the following information is recorded:
- Name
- File Number

- Death or Discharge Date

Please note that the file numbers found in this Index (VPRS 18130) for Patient Clinical Case Notes relate to the file numbers of original recordkeeping systems. The file numbers that have been recorded in the listing are numbers that were imposed by the controlling Department at a much later date and do not reflect the original recordkeeping system. The Patient Clinical Case Notes in VPRS 18103 have been arranged more or less alphabetically by surname and a search should be conducted on the patient name within that series.
