VPRS 18075 Employee History Cards, East Region

Full description

This series comprises of cards summarising the employment details of people employed with agencies in the east region during the period covered by the cards. Agencies where people were employed include the Lilydale and Croydon Centres, Alkira, Kew Regional Centre, Knoxbrooke Incorporated, Melba Support Services, Monkami Centre and Nadrasca. Most cards are for employees occupying the position of teacher/instructor and were predominantly in the field of intellectual disability.

The cards record:
- name
- date of birth
- address
- telephone number
- classification and
- commencement date.

The cards may also include the following information:
- date when the employee was interviewed for the position and whom by
- centre where the employee was based
- date of resignation
- previous employment history
- incremental levels and effective dates, and
- banking details.

Researchers should note that a review of this series at the time of transfer determined that the employee listings in this series is incomplete. The agency responsible for these records and Public Record Office Victoria have been unable to determine why this is the case. Employees who have been included in either Government Gazettes or Record Cards of Public Servants (VPRS 9889) do not always appear on the employee list in this series.
