This is a collection of Workplace Accident Reports relating to fatal accidents that occurred during the construction of the Melbourne Underground Rail Loop.

During the course of the construction of the Melbourne Underground Rail Loop, a record of accident reports was created to document the incidence of both major and minor accidents. These records were generally arranged according to the contracted group awarded responsibility for elements of the construction.

The records contain supervisors' reports, eyewitness accounts, photographs, and correspondence arising from the accidents. Only the site of accidents and subsequent investigations are photographed in the records.
