VPRS 17980 Register of Aboriginal Trainees

Full description

This series comprises of a register of Aboriginal trainees at Langi Kal Kal Youth Training Centre (VA 2545).

It was determined by the Youth Support Branch, Community Services Victoria, in June 1989 that each facility shall maintain a register of Aboriginal young people in their care. Entries are recorded by date of reception. Information on the register includes:
- trainee's name
- date of birth
- date of reception into Langi Kal Kal
- date of discharge and circumstances e.g. Paroled or remission, discharged or failed to return etc.

Discharges and parolees are recorded in black. New receptions are recorded in blue. Transfers to and from institutions are recorded in green. Absconders and police transfers are recorded in red.
