Each order was registered and signed by the magistrate.Pages in this register were usually headed Register of Judgements. This series was previously titled as Register of Judgements for Commonwealth Cases. This series consists of a single Court of Petty Sessions/Magistrate's Court Australian Register of Judgements created by Yarram Courts [VA 4017].

The orders contained in Australian Registers of Judgements relate to judgements made in interstate courts and which were originally registered in those Courts of Petty Sessions and subsequently, the Magistrates' Courts (or their interstate equivalents) for enforcement. When the defendants moved interstate, copies of the orders were registered in the Australian Registers of Judgements at the Court of Petty Sessions/Magistrates' Courts nearest to the defendants' new residential addresses.
