Full description

This series consists of the case files of children assessed by the Children's Court Clinic (VA 5032).

The Children's Court Clinic conducts assessments and provides reports on children and their families at the request of Children's Court magistrates.

Children's Court Clinic case records can include:

• court referral details
• family histories and information about family structure
• original notes of clinician
• results of clinical testing
• details of treatment provided
• correspondence and court report.

A file may contain records relating to multiple clients in cases where members of the same family are referred to the Clinic. In these cases, each child's name is listed in the file title. Often each child's file number is also listed, although sometimes only the oldest sibling's was captured.

This series ended in 2020 when the Children's Court Clinic stopped creating hardcopy case files and moved to a fully digital recordkeeping system.
