The photographs in this series are sample black and white prints produced by the Photographic Services Section of the Country Roads Board.

The photographs were printed from negatives in VPRS 17684 Photographic Collection, Master Negatives and Digitised Images. The images were grouped together into albums to serve as image reference material about particular municipalities to be used by staff for various purposes including recording and documenting bridge and road construction as well as producing annual reports and other Country Roads Board documents and marketing material.

The majority of photographic prints in the albums feature captions and or descriptions and negative numbers written on the back of the images.
The original covers have been removed from these albums. Album number 5 is missing.
