VPRS 17686 Photographic Print Albums of Roads and Bridges

Full description

The photographs in this series were produced by the Photographic Services Section of the Country Roads Board.

They are a sample of black and white images printed from negatives in VPRS 17684 Photographic Collection, Master Negatives and Digitised Images.

These images were grouped together into albums to serve as image reference material about particular roads and bridge projects to be used by staff for various purposes including recording and documenting bridge engineering and road construction as well as producing annual reports and other Country Roads Board documents and marketing material.

The majority of photographic prints in the albums feature captions and or descriptions and negative numbers written on the back of the images. Some of the photographs are missing from the albums.
