This series comprises The Women's & Children's Health Care Network / Women's and Children's Health Annual Reports, 1996 to 2004.

The Women's and Children's Health Care Network was formed from the merger of the Royal Women's Hospital and Royal Children's Hospital, and was one of seven (later more)Health Care Networks for the 35 independent hospitals in Melbourne, established by the Kennett Government under the Health Services (Metropolitan Hospitals) Act 1995.

The Women's and Children's Health Care Network was replaced by Women's and Children's Health after a 1999 ministerial review recommended a new governance and management structure for metropolitan hospitals. Women's and Children's Health was dissolved on 1 July 2004.

The Annual Reports were usually issued late in the year and reported on Network activities in the preceding financial year.
